There comes a point in a small business journey where fulfilling your own orders is a huge operational strain (and is the bottleneck in your current scale) and moving to a 3PL is the best option. Problem is, at the lower scale you are bottom of the priority list in these larger 3PLs and hit with tons of fees. So making the jump into a 3PL was a huge financial and operational task for us at Snaggletooth. We met the team at ShipNomad and was treated with respect and care, and they have some of the top of the line tech in the fulfillment world and get orders out quickly. After doing my due diligence, ShipNomad literally gave me an offer I could not refuse - no other 3PL I chatted with could match their pricing at my scale. There was a little bit of a learning curve on my end to learn how a WMS system works and to make sure everything was good, but you get a dedicated rep to help with the migration. The migration was pretty seamless and we figured everything out in around 2 business days and are just a slack message away when I need them. We had both D2C and Wholesale orders and have worked with them to optimize the correct packaging and shipping partners to optimize our pricing. Right after the migration (which we did in December...the busiest time of year!) we could focus on scaling and tripled our order volume that very month.
