Packaging is one of the few fulfillment decisions made on every single order, yet most operations still leave it to static logic or a packer's best guess. That gap shows up as wasted labor at the pack station, oversized boxes, excess corrugate, and dimensional weight charges that compound across thousands of orders a day. Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Brooklyn, New York, Paccurate built the Packing Control System (PCS) to give operations teams control over that decision.
Perfect for
High-volume 3PLs and fulfillment centers processing diverse product mixes
E-commerce brands with complex packaging requirements and significant shipping costs
Multi-channel retailers needing consistent packaging optimization across platforms
Operations experiencing seasonal fluctuations requiring adaptive packaging strategies
Key strengths
Millisecond response times enable real-time optimization without slowing fulfillment operations
Data-driven packaging simulations eliminate guesswork in box and mailer selection
Centralized packing rule management allows quick adaptations without technical development
Real-world cost optimization focuses on practical savings rather than theoretical efficiency
Seamless integration capabilities work with existing WMS and fulfillment systems
Machine learning algorithms continuously improve recommendations based on operational data
Considerations
Relatively new company founded in 2018
Small team size of 23 employees, but every enterprise account gets a dedicated customer success manager for implementation and continuous improvement
Require integration effort and setup time to realize full optimization benefits, but onboarding usually only takes 2-4 weeks
Advanced features might have a learning curve for operations with basic packaging processes
About Paccurate
Most warehouse systems weren't built to make packing decisions. Box selection ends up hard-coded in the WMS, left to packer judgment, or locked behind IT tickets, and every inconsistent pack adds labor time, material, and shipping cost.
Paccurate built the Packing Control System (PCS) to fix that. The PCS is the dedicated system for packing decisions, sitting alongside your WMS, WES, and TMS rather than replacing them. At its core is a patented, cost-aware cartonization engine that evaluates every order against your actual carrier rate cards, material costs, and labor costs, then returns the right carton and a 3D pack sequence in as little as 2 milliseconds.
Around that engine, the PCS gives operations teams what they need to plan, control, and monitor packing. They can model carton changes on historical data before committing, update packing rules without code or IT involvement, and track live packing performance against perfect-pack benchmarks. The result is consistent packing at the station and control for the team that owns it. Every order, perfectly packed.
About PaccuratePackaging is one of the few fulfillment decisions made on every single order, yet most operations still leave it to static logic or a packer's best guess. A dedicated system for packingThe PCS is the system of record for packing and packaging. It sits alongside your WMS, WES, and TMS and owns every packing decision from start to finish. It is made up of four products, each mapped to a phase of the packing lifecycle:
Plan with PacSimulate®. Run millions of simulations on historical shipment data to find the ideal box and mailer mix, evaluate new packing rules, or model the impact of packaging automation. No IT integration is required to get started.
Control with PacManage™. Manage box, item rules, rate tables, and packing behaviors in one resource library, then test them in a 3D Inspector and deploy without code.
Execute with PacAPI. The 3D cube, cost-aware cartonization engine packs every live order in real time, in as little as 2 milliseconds, at up to 10,000 orders per second.
Monitor with PacHealth®. Track live packing performance with the PacHealth Score, a composite of Cost, Efficiency, and Green scores that compares real orders to their perfect-pack equivalents.
Paccurate's patented algorithm (U.S. Patent No. 11,216,774) does more than check whether items fit inside a box. It calculates exact 3D placement for every item, accounting for real dimensions, weight limits, orientation locking, nesting, stacking, alternate dimensions for soft goods, and pack-as-is items. It then weighs each option against the shipper's negotiated carrier rate cards, material costs, and labor costs. Teams can choose what to optimize for, including lowest cost, volume utilization, items per box or corrugate use.
Control for the people who own the floorPacking rules change constantly with new SKUs, new clients, peak season, and new carrier contracts. With the PCS, operations teams make those changes themselves instead of waiting on an IT ticket. Packers get a clear instruction on every order, and leaders get consistent, auditable decisions they can measure. For 3PLs, that means managing distinct packing logic for each client from one system.
Perfect forHigh-volume 3PLs packing for many clients, each with its own catalog, cartons, and packing rules
Brands and distributors running their own distribution centers who want packing decisions out of packers' hands and into a system
Operations running packaging automation, such as on-demand box systems, that need the right instructions sent to the machine on every order
Teams that need to change cartons or packing rules quickly for peak season or new products, without waiting on WMS development
