We had an extremely damaging experience with CPM and would strongly warn other businesses to stay away.
We moved to CPM after being told they could handle our busy period and that our shipping costs would not increase. Instead, during our most important period of the year, they fell badly behind and the fallout was severe. This cost our business hundreds of thousands of dollars through lost sales, customer credits, cancellations, chargebacks, increased shipping costs, emergency labor, and operational disruption.
Our chargeback rate increased to the point that our payment processor began taking action against us. Negative reviews flooded online. We had to send our own team to CPM’s facility to help get orders out because they were so far behind.
What made it worse was the lack of care and accountability shown by Joe and CPM throughout the process. They made strong promises up front, failed badly when it mattered most, and then made the transition process hard while showing little concern for the damages their failures had caused.
We have since moved to a new fulfillment provider, and the difference is a complete 180. Our new provider is professionally managed, organized, responsive, and operates the way a real fulfillment partner should.
If your business depends on reliable fulfillment, clear communication, and competent management, I would be extremely cautious about trusting CPM with your operation.
